Yuka

"I’ll grab this one too for the collection, it sparkles funny.”

“The Inner Child lives within all of us, it’s the part of us that feels emotions and is playful, intuitive, and creative. Usually hidden under our grown-up personas, the Inner Child holds the key to intimacy in relationships, physical and emotional well-being, recovery from addictions, and the creativity and wisdom of our inner selves.”

- Lucia Capacchione

Yuka means “a bright star” in the Inuit language.

A big part of my childhood and inner child is about my passion for astronomy and the need to explore the mysteries of the universe, either scientifically or spiritually. I come from a town located north enough to see quite well aurora borealis on occasions and where other sorts of phenomenas can occur like these rare light pillars :

Here’s a picture my brother took when it happened a few years ago near an old locomotive :

“Light pillars are an optical phenomenon that typically occurs in arctic regions due to the temperatures required for such an event. When the atmosphere becomes extremely cold, flat ice crystals form in the air close to the ground. These crystals reflect natural and artificial light, taking on the color of the light source.”
